Just slip a bar of soap in one of these reusable bags and exfoliate your tissues to increase lymphatic detoxification, circulation, and energy flow.  Made from all natural animal wool fibers raised ethically in our local area. 

The wool is hand-washed, then spun on an old-fashioned spinning wheel, and finally knitted by loving women. 

Instead of using chemical dyes, the colors are created from: calendulas, blackberries, walnut hulls, zinnias, grape crystals, arrow leaf balsam roots, logwood bark, and cochineal. These plants are grown without chemicals in local gardens, or wildcrafted from our nearby mountains.

Made from a variety of wool fibers: Icelandic Sheep, Blue-faced Lusters, Shetland, Romney Sheep, and Alpacas.  Each bag is unique.

Using natural plant and animal fibers on our skin helps remove dead skin and toxins by stimulating our lymphatic system to pump poisons out of our cells so our circulatory system can deliver nutrients into them. Gentle exfoliation using all natural plant and animal fibers strengthens the biodiversity of our skin's microbiome, feeding the friendly flora that protect us from harm.  In contrast rubbing the skin or hair with plastic scrubbies, combs and brushes, damages the body's microbiome.  Please don't use plastic on your skin; many types contain toxic antibacterial chemicals.

We are offering these little peach combs as an alternative to plastic combs. They can be used as a beard comb or a hair comb.

They are 4"L x 2"W so they are the perfect size to be taken anywhere! 
Many people have found that using wood combs improves hair health over plastic. Massaging your scalp with natural combs or brushes stimulates hair follicles and may aid with hair growth. Wood combs do not create static that one might experience with plastic. The larger bristles or teeth are less likely to get caught in your hair during use.

Creative Play Areas is a How-To book full of simple and inexpensive projects that parents and children can do together to develop creativity, imagination, and innovation.  This book was originally published in 1990 and sold thousands of copies before going out of print.  We now offer this book as a downloadable eBook for the first time.

All the projects in this book were constructed by Nena and Nonia, a mother daughter team, for the enjoyment and creative development of Nonia’s children and the many other children who enjoyed the “funnest yard in town”.  Both Nena and Nonia were public school teachers who recognized a growing trend in the American system towards digital addiction, rote memorization, competition, and children who spend too much time in artificial environments where they don’t physically apply what they are learning to hands-on real life projects.  As the school system became more focused on worksheets and test scores, with less funding and emphasis on creative problem solving and innovative thought, Nonia and Nena responded with a book full of ideas to help children grow and develop naturally in an imaginative and creative learning environment.

Most projects are geared for ages 2-12.  They were all built by moms and children with just a few simple tools.

Our modern society is in an accelerated era of technology and learning.  Our children and grandchildren will enter an adult world we can barely comprehend.  They will be expected to make many choices, and they must learn to be critical thinkers and problem solvers as they organize information into workable solutions.  We cannot prepare our children for every obstacle they may encounter in life, but we can give them experience by giving them problems to solve.

People have a basic need to learn, explore and create.  Our children need to have an environment where they can… explore, organize, create, analyze, tear apart, and build again.  These are survival skills needed to function effectively in our complex society. 

In our modern society, we have created a void in our children’s education.  In many places, we have eliminated the creative play world that our children need.  We create a gorgeously sterile environment for our children and then expect them to be creative in it, a difficult task.  If they are to become creative, critical thinkers, they must have the proper materials, the space, the time and the motivation….  

What is facial massage therapy? It is when we massage the face and release all the built up tension, chi blockage or vital energy flow by the simulation of the acupuncture points on the face and neck area. It improves the skins health by opening up the myriad ways by improving the circulation, relaxing of muscles, and tones the skin. This helps smooth away those stress lines and wrinkles giving you a more youthful appearance by allowing more blood to circulate in the face. It also aids in the drainage of the lymphatic system of the face and helps in the removal of old dead skin cells.

The Clearwater Cultures family is so grateful for the love and inspiration we get from Grandma Nena, who is in her 80's and still hikes into nature with her cane to gather ideas for her next painting.

We wanted to honor her timeless watercolors by selling her prints in stationary form.
