Why Use Natural Sunscreen:
We spend a great deal of time outside in the full sun with children and grandbabies. Although we try to use sun hats and govern the length of our exposure, a good natural sunscreen is a must for the fair-skinned members of our family. Years ago we stopped using commercial sunscreens because of the chemicals they contain. Organic Lifestyle Magazine reported that none of the ingredients in conventional sunscreens are safe. The Environmental Working Group recently reported that there is some evidence that commercial sunscreens might actually increase the risk of some of the deadliest forms of skin damage perhaps because free radicals are released as sunscreen chemicals break down in the sunlight.


The skin has a natural ability to protect us from harmful radiation if we give it the correct patterning and the nutrition it needs to function correctly. It is our largest assimilation/elimination organ, and our physical body’s first line of defense against all incoming energies. Our skin does not have to be vulnerable to harmful external energies, including overexposure to the sun. Sunburn usually occurs when the amount of UV rays exceeds the body’s natural melanin levels. Some people take enough cream out of the fridge to last a few days and put it in a separate jar to soften it before use.****

SUGGESTED USE:

Shampooing Your Hair with a bar may be new to many of you. It is quite easy. Just get your hair wet and rub the bar on your scalp and hair. Massage it in gently and wash as usual.

Rinse with clean water and towel dry. We suggest you use a towel free from chemical detergents and toxic dryer sheets.

IMPORTANT:  This shampoo bar has a high amount of organic castor oil.  Castor oil is often used as a very powerful natural detoxification substance.  If you have ever used petrochemicals in your haircare products, you may have embedded toxins in your hair and scalp.  Many people experience detoxification symptoms when they begin using our shampoo bars.  During the first few days or weeks of use, you may experience toxins coming out of your hair and scalp.  This can materialize as waxy, stinky, thick, oily substances that may be difficult to remove. 

We experienced detoxification in the beginning as we switched from chemical hair treatments to our natural shampoo bars.  For some people the detoxification lasts a week, for others it may happen once or twice every few months when a new layer of embedded chemicals are pulled out of the scalp and hair.  Once your scalp detoxifies, washing your hair is simple, wash and rinse and your hair is squeeky clean.

If your hair builds up with toxic residue from the cleansing of your scalp, we suggest some type of vinegar rinse.  You can use raw organic apple cider vinegar mixed with an equal amount of water to rinse your hair and remove residue.

Rest & Relax Detoxification Bath Soak

This is a probiotic home spa treatment that was formulated to mimic the natural minerals, salts and microorganisms in hot springs.  For thousands of years many people have soaked in mineral waters to facilitate detoxification of poisons, pathogens and parasites.  Through the skin, vital minerals, nutrients and probiotic microbes can also be absorbed into the body. 

This bath soak contains a combination of medicinal herbs that have been used historically to help with stress, anxiety and sleeplessness.   

PACKAGED IN KRAFT BAGS

Contains Natural Cleansers and Detoxifiers: Epsom salt, Redmond Salt, Diatomaceous Earth, Fresh water Zeolite, Sea Salt, non-aluminum Baking Soda, non-GMO Corn Starch, Kaolin White Clay, Pascalite Clay (contains calcium bentonite), Selenium, EM Ceramic powder (contains essential probiotic microorganisms).

Medicinal Herbs: Valerian root, Skullcap, Hops, Chamomile, Cloves, Kelp, St. John’s Wort, Alfalfa, Capsicum. 

Home-grown without chemicals, personally wild-crafted, or purchased organically

Essential Oils: Rosemary, lemon & lavender.

Suggested Use:  Add packet to bath water and enjoy.  May also be used as a foot soak.  Make sure to drink plenty of pure water while bathing.  To enjoy the full benefits of detoxification during bathing make sure to exfoliate your tissues with different types of natural fiber simulators such as sea sponges, soft natural fiber brushes and washcloths.  See our Suggested Use section for further cleansing suggestions.  Use as often as desired.

Tea Baths are one of the oldest ways to rest and relax.  In a hot bath our pores open wide and our skin quickly absorbs the nutrients and medicinal properties of the various natural herbs used in the tea bath.  Bathing in herbs is also a great way to get herbal medicine into small children or people having difficulty taking herbal medicines by mouth.  The skin is the largest assimilation organ and soaks up organic nutrition quickly, especially when we are relaxed and warm. 

Drink plenty of pure water while in the tub to assist with detoxification.  We usually try to stay in an herb bath for 30 minutes to 2 hours for optimum effects.

You will get: 2 tea baths worth of our herbal blend of tea.

How we use the tea baths:

We first boil the herbs in water on the stove and let steep for 3-5 minutes, strain the herbs out and put the tea into the tub water. 

Rest & Relax Blend:

Blue Vervain, Chamomile, Catnip, Mint, Tulsi, Clary Sage, Linden Flowers, Hops and Lemon Balm

Blue Vervain ~ Promotes sleep, reduces pain and Inflammation and eases stress and anxiety

Chamomile ~ Reduces anxiety and stress, calms upset stomach, eases menstrual cramps, helps with many skin conditions including acne and rashes, calming effect to improve sleep and reduces swelling

Catnip ~ Helps with chronic anxiety, sleep aid, improves depression and mood swings, relaxes tense muscles, fever relief and detoxifies the body

Mint ~ Anti-Inflammatory, improves skin quality, relieves stress, calms digestive system and may help boost cognitive functions

Tulsi ~ Helps with skin infections and acne, balances stress hormones, relieves fevers, may provide headache relief, detoxifies the body, boosts immune system and reduces pain and inflammation

Clary Sage ~ Natural antidepressant, relief from menstrual cramps, reduces stress, balances hormones, relieves insomnia, improves circulation and anti-inflammatory 

Linden Flowers ~ Calms anxiety and stress, helps with mood swings, induces relaxation, detoxifying and relief from tension, headaches and inflammation

Hops ~ Reduces pain in sore joints and muscles, eases symptoms of insomnia, calms anxiety, mood swings and cramps, increases blood circulation, boosts cognitive function and reduces tension headaches

Lemon Balm ~ offers relief from nervousness, reduces stress, calms muscles and nervous system, mood elevator, sleep aid, eases stomach issues, lowers blood pressure and helps with postpartum
