Empyreal Botanical Hair Infusion

This Botanical Herbal Hair Oil Treatment is one of the best ways to renew and revitalize damaged, dry, or just limp hair. It will stimulate the blood flow at the roots. This will help  to strengthen your hair and prevent dry, brittle hair and split ends while adding shine and stimulating hair growth.

Suggested Use

A little bit of oil goes a long way.

Heat the oil up and let it sit until it is a temperature that you can stand and won't burn your scalp. You can apply with an applicator bottle or simply your finger tips. You will want to apply to the roots of your hair and massage in to stimulate the roots to be receptive of the herbal oil. Leave in hair for at least 20-30 minutes or over night with a shower cap or as desired. Usage of a shower cap will help keep the oil in the hair and not all over the place. Use of steam or heat while the oil sits will help benefit the oils penetration of the hair cuticles, so we suggest applying the oil to the hair and then sitting in the shower for 20 minutes allowing the steam to stimulate the hairs roots.

You can wash with our shampoo bars if desired. We recommend just using the hot water and our rice rinse.

Sunflower oil is rich in vitamins like A, B, C and E and minerals like iron, potassium and calcium. Ample content of essential nutrients, antioxidants and fatty acids in sunflower oil make it highly beneficial for hair health. It helps with protection from UV lights and acts as a moisturizer. Sunflower oil is known to be light that is why it is absorbed easily.

Specifics on the oils used:

Carrot Seed Oil- is a skin-mender anti-ager because of its richness in pro-vitamin A aka Beta Carotene, vitamins A, collagen-boosting vitamin C and moisturizing vitamin E. Pomegranate Seed Oil-The high omega 5 Fatty Acid (Punicic acid which is great for its skin protecting properties and high in antioxidants) levels in Pomegranate Seed Oil makes it have strong anti-inflammatory and anti-aging properties by helping to fend off free radicals. It helps unclog pores on the face to help in relieve the symptoms of skin traumas. It is also good for those with dry and sensitive skin because it provides soothing and hydrating relief.

Papaya Seed Oil- Brightens, lightens and evens out skin tone for a healthy glowing complexion. Helps with regenerating skin cells because of its large amounts of vitamin C. This is our take on facial cleansing grains. After learning more about face care routines, we discovered how important it is to use facial cleansing grains in our routine. Today most women wear make-up daily to amplify their natural features and feel good about themselves, so its not news that our pores get clogged and gross about just one day of daily life. Even for people who don't wear make-up, our pores get plugged up from us touching our faces with our hands or just us being out and about. Since our skin is the largest organ of the body and it has the largest exposure to the outside, it needs lots of care and upkeep too!

Reasons why you should add facial cleansing grains to your routine:

1. Its a really soft way to exfoliate, cleanse, and nourish the skin while keeping the beneficial oils intact at the same time.
2. Most natural facial cleansing grain mixtures are safe for all skin types. So you don't have to really worry if you have oily, normal, or sensitive skin. But always do a tester patch before covering your whole face.
3. Its a great alternative to harsh chemical cleansers.
4. Less is more!! A teaspoon of grains should cover your whole face! Plus is it safe to rinse down the drain as well. (expect a little bit of a mess)
5. You can use more then just water to mix up the grains with. Use any kind of safe facial liquid - apple cider vinegar, rose water, kombucha, rice water...ETC.

Why add Colloidal Silver and Magnesium?

Colloidal Silver is a good way to kill bad bacteria and reduce inflammation such as acne. It also enhances the healing of damage skin tissue.

Magnesium protects against free radical attacked, reducing likelihood micro-damage. It helps reduces severity of breakouts, calming and reducing inflammation. WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?

Hydrosols also known as floral waters, are produced through the same process as essential oils. The distinction between the two products is that hydrosols are predominately made up of hydrophilic compounds (water-soluble components) of the plant, with a minute number of essential oil compounds. Cherished by ancient cultures for their medicinal benefits, hydrosols are used in herbal medicine practices across the world. These aromatic waters were extracted through the process of distillation, capturing the essence of plants and their healing properties in a gentle, water-based form. What is the purpose of a face toner? The purpose of face toner is to follow facial washing and before moisturizing. It helps to shrink pores, restore skins pH balance, adds an extra layer of protection, acts like a moisturizer itself, can brighten, leave skin glowing, help refresh skin, and even help with acne and trouble spots.

We have developed an 8 week witch hazel infusion of herbs, minerals, and oils all that help with the preservation of your skins health.

Our Nova Face Toner Blend was created to specialize in brightening and adding extra glow to the skin. All the herbs that are used are specific for helping the luster your skins health. We use witch hazel as our base cause it is a great pore tightener. It also helps battle excess oils and acne break outs.

For a suggested routine: Wash face with our Luminous Soap, (our suggested face soap cause of its smooth texture and soft moisturizing affect). Then apply the face toner of your choice. Let dry. For a following moisturizer and healing we suggest using our  Vitality Cream (our suggested face cream). This is our face routine that can be done once or twice daily or as desired.

Why add Rose Hip Seed Oil and Vitamin E? 

Rose Hip Seed Oil help hydrates the skin. Hydration is essential for soft, supple skin. It contains a wealthy amount of essential fatty acids which are vital in allowing the antioxidants to travel deep in to the skins tissue for hydration. This also allows for maximum moisturizing to occur. Rose Hip Oil is high in Vitamin A and C which helps with natural exfoliation leaving dull skin glowing and vibrant. Vitamin A helps encourage skin cell turnover and Vitamin C helps with cell regeneration thus both with boosting the skins cells leaving you with overall radiance. It also is a natural skin sun protector.(please do not sure in place of sunscreen)

Vitamin E Oil helps with moisturizing, hydrating, and reducing blemishes such as scars and permanent marks. It also helps in the reduction of wrinkles.

Fermented rice water has been the secret to beautiful long and healthy hair for village women and imperial princesses in the China, Japan, and Southeast Asia since ancient times.  Women from Huangluo Village, in southern China, have extraordinarily long hair that stays black until they are around 80 years old. Their average hair length is about 6 feet. Part of their secret to having such long hair lies in washing it with fermented rice water.

Fermented rice water is rice water that has slightly soured. It is rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamin E, and probiotic microbes. Rice extracts have moisturizing properties. You can use rice water for your face, body, and hair.

With our Rejuvenating Hair Treatment, we have added a combination of 15 prebiotic herbs, which increases the nutrient value of the probiotic rice ferment. The herbs we selected are all beneficial for hair, scalp and skin. We found that fermented herbal rice water treatments increased the shine, color spectrum and hair elasticity.  It also decreased surface friction.

In our family we no longer use any commercial hair shampoos, conditioners or detanglers. We only use our probiotic shampoo bars and our ferments as rinses and conditioners. Once we detoxified our hair and scalp from old chemical residue, we didn’t need to wash our hair as often. Our scalp conditions cleared up and our hair strength, shine and luster increased so much that we could see the effects in just weeks, even on hair that had been damaged from bleach, color treatments and perms.

ORGANIC HERBS:

Horsetail, Nettle, Oatstraw, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Yarrow, Holy Basil, Lavender, Green Tea, Black Tea, Fo-Ti, Amla Berries, Fenugreek Seeds and Parsley Root. 

DIRECTIONS:

How to Make the Herbal Tea:

Bring ½ gallon filtered water to a near boil. Add Herbs. Let tea sit at room temperature until cool.

How to Make the Rice Culture in the Herbal Tea:

Strain the herbs out. Add the rice to the tea and stir. Cover the jar with a breathable cloth or coffee filter and rubber band. Let sit at room temperature for 2-3 days. Stir every day. NOTE: Cooler temperatures slow fermenting process. We have fermented ours for over a week if needed.

Strain the rice out of the water and discard the rice into a compost. Store the strained tea in the fridge in a jar with a tight lid.

Take out enough fermented rice/herb water mix and put in a small glass jar to keep in the shower for a few days use. Leave the remainder of the ferment in the fridge.

If you want your small jar of rice/tea water to continue to ferment in the shower, cover it with a breathable cloth and rubber band. If you don’t want your rice/tea to continue to ferment, cover it with a tight lid. Additional fermentation increases the probiotic microbial levels in this culture and can facilitate hair improvement. When the herbs are cultured with the microbes in the rice ferment they form prebiotic nutrition that feed both the microbes and your scalp and hair.

Optional: You can add a few drops of essential oil to the ferment you leave in the shower for aroma.

For a Special Honey ferment: After fermenting the rice/tea for 48 hours, mix 1 cup warm water with 1 Tbsp. honey, stir until honey is dissolved, cool and add to tea. Let ferment for another 12-24 hours and then store in the fridge with a tight lid. The honey feeds the probiotic microbes and increases their activity.

How to Use the Herbal/Rice Water Hair Treatment:
Shampoo hair as usual. Pour rice/herb tea over hair and massage into scalp. Make sure to get the ends of your hair thoroughly wet with the tea mixture. You can either wash the tea out, or leave it in, then dry and style as usual. If you experience a slight film on your hair it will easily brush out. After several treatments you should notice your hair getting softer and shinier. This hair treatment can be used as often as needed.

Rest & Relax Detoxification Bath Soak

This is a probiotic home spa treatment that was formulated to mimic the natural minerals, salts and microorganisms in hot springs.  For thousands of years many people have soaked in mineral waters to facilitate detoxification of poisons, pathogens and parasites.  Through the skin, vital minerals, nutrients and probiotic microbes can also be absorbed into the body. 

This bath soak contains a combination of medicinal herbs that have been used historically to help with stress, anxiety and sleeplessness.

Tea Baths are one of the oldest ways to rest and relax.  In a hot bath our pores open wide and our skin quickly absorbs the nutrients and medicinal properties of the various natural herbs used in the tea bath.  Bathing in herbs is also a great way to get herbal medicine into small children or people having difficulty taking herbal medicines by mouth.  The skin is the largest assimilation organ and soaks up organic nutrition quickly, especially when we are relaxed and warm. 

Drink plenty of pure water while in the tub to assist with detoxification.  We usually try to stay in an herb bath for 30 minutes to 2 hours for optimum effects.

How we use the tea baths:

We first boil the herbs in water on the stove and let steep for 3-5 minutes, strain the herbs out and put the tea into the tub water.
