Texture Buffet

In our healing work we have found that natural fibers rubbed or brushed across the skin not only feel good, they stimulate many systems in the body to work more efficiently, to detox poisons and uptake nutrients.  When a variety of natural textures are rubbed across the skin different healing sensations occur.  The lymphatic system begins to pump toxins out of the body with correct skin stimulation.  The circulatory system pumps more oxygen and nutrients into cells, the energy flows into stagnant areas of the body, improving light and intelligence within the tissue.   The more natural the fibers used on our skin for cleaning and lymphatic massage, the healthier we become.

In our family, we avoid all plastic scrubbies and GMO fibers because of the toxic residue they leave on the skin and the electromagnetic imbalances that they create in our energy field.

Instead, we use natural sea sponges, felted wool, bamboo, hemp, silk or organic cotton washcloths, and natural long handle back brushes.  My favorite is homemade knitted or crocheted washcloths made out of natural yarns, like wool, alpaca, cashmere, bamboo, etc.  Each weave stimulates the skin differently with its texture varieties.   Healthy skin stimulation invigorates the mind as well.  Plus, there’s lots of love infused into each cloth from the individual who loved making them.

The probiotic cultures in our soaps create a silky hydration across your skin as they recolonize your protective layer with healthy microbes and medicinal herbs and plant nutrients. When combined with water and natural scrubbers, these soaps are very beneficial for lymphatic massage, touch therapy and healing work in the shower or bath.  We suggest that you take at least five minutes to massage your entire body with soap and water and different natural scrubbers.

This process works well for PTSD, disassociation from trauma, developmental difficulties, depression and learning challenges.  Give kids a bunch of natural scrubbers and some soap and they’ll love it.

Self-nurturing with loving touch is a powerful key to healing.  Where our attention goes, our energy flows.
