Fermented rice water has been the secret to beautiful long and healthy hair for village women and imperial princesses in the China, Japan, and Southeast Asia since ancient times.  Women from Huangluo Village, in southern China, have extraordinarily long hair that stays black until they are around 80 years old. Their average hair length is about 6 feet. Part of their secret to having such long hair lies in washing it with fermented rice water.

Fermented rice water is rice water that has slightly soured. It is rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamin E, and probiotic microbes. Rice extracts have moisturizing properties. You can use rice water for your face, body, and hair.

With our Rejuvenating Hair Treatment, we have added a combination of 15 prebiotic herbs, which increases the nutrient value of the probiotic rice ferment. The herbs we selected are all beneficial for hair, scalp and skin. We found that fermented herbal rice water treatments increased the shine, color spectrum and hair elasticity.  It also decreased surface friction.

In our family we no longer use any commercial hair shampoos, conditioners or detanglers. We only use our probiotic shampoo bars and our ferments as rinses and conditioners. Once we detoxified our hair and scalp from old chemical residue, we didn’t need to wash our hair as often. Our scalp conditions cleared up and our hair strength, shine and luster increased so much that we could see the effects in just weeks, even on hair that had been damaged from bleach, color treatments and perms.

DIRECTIONS:

How to Make the Herbal Tea:

Bring ½ gallon filtered water to a near boil. Add Herbs. Let tea sit at room temperature until cool.

How to Make the Rice Culture in the Herbal Tea:

Strain the herbs out. Add the rice to the tea and stir. Cover the jar with a breathable cloth or coffee filter and rubber band. Let sit at room temperature for 2-3 days. Stir every day. NOTE: Cooler temperatures slow fermenting process. We have fermented ours for over a week if needed.

Strain the rice out of the water and discard the rice into a compost. Store the strained tea in the fridge in a jar with a tight lid.

Take out enough fermented rice/herb water mix and put in a small glass jar to keep in the shower for a few days use. Leave the remainder of the ferment in the fridge.

If you want your small jar of rice/tea water to continue to ferment in the shower, cover it with a breathable cloth and rubber band. If you don’t want your rice/tea to continue to ferment, cover it with a tight lid. Additional fermentation increases the probiotic microbial levels in this culture and can facilitate hair improvement. When the herbs are cultured with the microbes in the rice ferment they form prebiotic nutrition that feed both the microbes and your scalp and hair.

Optional: You can add a few drops of essential oil to the ferment you leave in the shower for aroma.

For a Special Honey ferment: After fermenting the rice/tea for 48 hours, mix 1 cup warm water with 1 Tbsp. honey, stir until honey is dissolved, cool and add to tea. Let ferment for another 12-24 hours and then store in the fridge with a tight lid. The honey feeds the probiotic microbes and increases their activity.

How to Use the Herbal/Rice Water Hair Treatment:
Shampoo hair as usual. Pour rice/herb tea over hair and massage into scalp. Make sure to get the ends of your hair thoroughly wet with the tea mixture. You can either wash the tea out, or leave it in, then dry and style as usual. If you experience a slight film on your hair it will easily brush out. After several treatments you should notice your hair getting softer and shinier. This hair treatment can be used as often as needed.

Rest & Relax Detoxification Bath Soak

This is a probiotic home spa treatment that was formulated to mimic the natural minerals, salts and microorganisms in hot springs.  For thousands of years many people have soaked in mineral waters to facilitate detoxification of poisons, pathogens and parasites.  Through the skin, vital minerals, nutrients and probiotic microbes can also be absorbed into the body.

Tea Baths are one of the oldest ways to rest and relax.  In a hot bath our pores open wide and our skin quickly absorbs the nutrients and medicinal properties of the various natural herbs used in the tea bath.  Bathing in herbs is also a great way to get herbal medicine into small children or people having difficulty taking herbal medicines by mouth.  The skin is the largest assimilation organ and soaks up organic nutrition quickly, especially when we are relaxed and warm. 

Drink plenty of pure water while in the tub to assist with detoxification.  We usually try to stay in an herb bath for 30 minutes to 2 hours for optimum effects.

How we use the tea baths:

We first boil the herbs in water on the stove and let steep for 3-5 minutes, strain the herbs out and put the tea into the tub water.

Seaweed Skin Detox is a combination of 14 different natural cleansers, herbal nutrients, clays and MSM powder. SUGGESTED USE:

Shampooing Your Hair with a bar may be new to many of you. It is quite easy. Just get your hair wet and rub the bar on your scalp and hair. Massage it in gently and wash as usual.

Rinse with clean water and towel dry. We suggest you use a towel free from chemical detergents and toxic dryer sheets.

IMPORTANT:  This shampoo bar has a high amount of organic castor oil.  Castor oil is often used as a very powerful natural detoxification substance.  If you have ever used petrochemicals in your haircare products, you may have embedded toxins in your hair and scalp.  Many people experience detoxification symptoms when they begin using our shampoo bars.  During the first few days or weeks of use, you may experience toxins coming out of your hair and scalp.  This can materialize as waxy, stinky, thick, oily substances that may be difficult to remove. 

We experienced detoxification in the beginning as we switched from chemical hair treatments to our natural shampoo bars.  For some people the detoxification lasts a week, for others it may happen once or twice every few months when a new layer of embedded chemicals are pulled out of the scalp and hair.  Once your scalp detoxifies, washing your hair is simple, wash and rinse and your hair is squeeky clean.

If your hair builds up with toxic residue from the cleansing of your scalp, we suggest some type of vinegar rinse.  You can use raw organic apple cider vinegar mixed with an equal amount of water to rinse your hair and remove residue.

 We also sell Kombucha Hair Spritzers.  These are made from an aged kombucha vinegar that is cultured in many medicinal herbs that help nourish hair and scalp. The Hair Spritzers help remove the toxic residue and add additional beneficial microbes to your hair.

SUGGESTED USE:

Shampooing Your Hair with a bar may be new to many of you. It is quite easy. Just get your hair wet and rub the bar on your scalp and hair. Massage it in gently and wash as usual.

Rinse with clean water and towel dry. We suggest you use a towel free from chemical detergents and toxic dryer sheets.

IMPORTANT:  This shampoo bar has a high amount of organic castor oil.  Castor oil is often used as a very powerful natural detoxification substance.  If you have ever used petrochemicals in your haircare products, you may have embedded toxins in your hair and scalp.  Many people experience detoxification symptoms when they begin using our shampoo bars.  During the first few days or weeks of use, you may experience toxins coming out of your hair and scalp.  This can materialize as waxy, stinky, thick, oily substances that may be difficult to remove. 

We experienced detoxification in the beginning as we switched from chemical hair treatments to our natural shampoo bars.  For some people the detoxification lasts a week, for others it may happen once or twice every few months when a new layer of embedded chemicals are pulled out of the scalp and hair.  Once your scalp detoxifies, washing your hair is simple, wash and rinse and your hair is squeeky clean.

If your hair builds up with toxic residue from the cleansing of your scalp, we suggest some type of vinegar rinse.  You can use raw organic apple cider vinegar mixed with an equal amount of water to rinse your hair and remove residue.

 We also sell Kombucha Hair Spritzers.  These are made from an aged kombucha vinegar that is cultured in many medicinal herbs that help nourish hair and scalp. The Hair Spritzers help remove the toxic residue and add additional beneficial microbes to your hair.

What is the purpose of a face toner? The purpose of face toner is to follow facial washing and before moisturizing. It helps to shrink pores, restore skins pH balance, adds an extra layer of protection, acts like a moisturizer itself, can brighten, leave skin glowing, help refresh skin, and even help with acne and trouble spots.

We have developed an 8 week witch hazel infusion of herbs, minerals, and oils all that help with the preservation of your skins health.
We use witch hazel as our base cause it is a great pore tightener. It also helps battle excess oils and acne break outs.

In this blend, we pick specific herbs that are beneficial to regulating the skin of men. Any thing from PH balancing to feeding the skin or just the upkeep on the wear an tear of our skin. 

This makes a great aftershave for men as well. It will help prevent razor bumps and burn in the future. As for men with beards it will help beards soften, condition, and shine.
