This is a living probiotic & prebiotic culture is designed to give nutritional and medicinal assistance to the respiratory system. This culture is infused with 17 different medicinal herbs that have been used historically to improve detoxification of foreign substances and pathogens, while feeding our cells a diverse mix of bio-available micro-nutrients.  The herbs are slowly fermented in a 3-stage process over many months to enhance their nutritional content and make them easy for the body to assimilate through the skin.

Suggested Uses:

Massage into skin chest, back, neck, feet and lymph glands to improve assimilation and detoxification.  Spray into air to help freshen and detoxify and to get probiotic microbes into the lungs.  In our family we also use this herbal culture in a nebulizer (1 drop per oz of pure water).  We also add it to a defuser.

These probiotic cultures have been used on people, animals and to clear the energy in rooms and various spaces.  They can be used to coat the body with living probiotic and prebiotic microorganisms in order to help boost immune system responses, heal skin disorders, cleanse toxins and unnatural substances, calm and balance emotions, lift the mood, clear the energy field and body of unhealthy attachments, and to improve inner balance and spiritual vision. 

Optional: For deeper penetration into tissues, add 1-5 drops of DMSO to each handful of Breathing Blend and massage into lungs and across upper back and around throat.

Medicinal Herb Historical Uses

Oregano is  packed with health-promoting antioxidants, including limonene, thymol, carvacrol and terpinene.  It’s one of the top antioxidant foods with an oxygen radical absorbance capacity (ORAC) score of 159,277.  Oregano possesses the highest antibacterial activity against E. coli and helps promote gastrointestinal health and prevent food poisoning.  It reduces inflammation, helps with digestive issues, fights infections and improves cholesterol.

Mullein helps with lung and respiratory conditions like bronchitis, colds, dry coughs, sore throats,  general hoarseness and tonsillitis.  The leaves contain plant compounds with powerful antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties that helps to rid the body of mucus and soothes the raw, inflamed tracts of your system, like your throat. Horehound has been used for centuries to treat respiratory issues.  It is one of the oldest cough remedies, helping to expel mucus, detoxify the body and fight infections.  It has been used as a digestive aid, for motion sickness, to improve blood flow, boost heart health, soothe inflammation, spasms and nervous disorders, lower cholesterol, reduce blood sugar and for menstrual pain. It is antibacterial, antifungal and anticancer.

Hyssop helps relieve respiratory conditions, common cold, asthma or bronchitis, helps eliminate parasites in the gastrointestinal tract, increasing circulation, which improves oxygenation throughout the body.  Hyssop helps with muscle pain and inflammation, infections, chronic disease  and digestion.  It soothes the symptoms of premenstrual syndromes, such as mood swings and cramps.  Helps calm anxiety and stress, boost immunity, lower blood pressure, aids heart health and reduces the pain and discomfort of insect bites and stings.

Holy Basil (Tulsi): This plant has been used historically for over 3,000 years as a sacred herb in Ayurvedic medicine.  It is an adaptogen that promotes balance throughout the entire body, including the cardiovascular, central nervous, reproductive and immune systems.  It contains many phytonutrients that are natural protectors of organs and tissues defending our body against chemical stress, industrial pollutants, heavy metals, and other poisons and toxins.  It helps us handle extremes of cold and heat, excessive noise, physical exertion and stress.  Holy basil improves poor blood circulation, fights skin infections and acne, protects against diabetes and cancer, balances hormones, supports wound healing, is anti-bacterial, anti-inflammatory, and pain relieving.

Lovage has a high concentration of coumarins, limonene, camphor and eugenols giving it many health benefits.  It is a powerful expectorant clearing out excess phlegm and mucus while reducing irritation and inflammation of the lungs.  Lovage soothes the effect of allergens.  It is a natural inhibitor of histamines helping to reduce allergy symptoms like itchy eyes, runny nose and scratchy throat. WHAT IS A HYDROSOL?

Hydrosols also known as floral waters, are produced through the same process as essential oils. Specifics on the oils used:

Papaya Seed Oil- Brightens, lightens and evens out skin tone for a healthy glowing complexion. Helps with regenerating skin cells because of its large amounts of vitamin C. We use witch hazel as our base cause it is a great pore tightener. It also helps battle excess oils and acne break outs.

This is our take on facial cleansing grains. After learning more about face care routines, we discovered how important it is to use facial cleansing grains in our routine. Today most women wear make-up daily to amplify their natural features and feel good about themselves, so its not news that our pores get clogged and gross about just one day of daily life. Even for people who don't wear make-up, our pores get plugged up from us touching our faces with our hands or just us being out and about. Use a teaspoon or two of grain powder for whole face. Add a few drops of liquid at a time until it forms a paste. Apply to whole face while massaging in a circular direction. Softly rub into skin to exfoliate and remove the dead skin cells.

Leave on face for 5-15 minutes or apply before or/during a shower and leave on face the duration of the shower. Rinse well.

This can be a little messy!

Directions: In a large pan bring 1/2 gallon water to a boil on the stove. Add the bag of grated soap shavings and stir until dissolved remove from heat. Add the bag of powders and stir. Pour this combination into a five gallon plastic bucket. Probiotics do not do well in metal containers. Add 3 1/2 more gallons of water and stir well. Add essential oils if desired. Let sit overnight with the lid on the bucket. Leave in the bucket or pour into smaller containers (glass, ceramic, or plastic).

Use 1/2 to 3/4 cup per load.

Can also be rubbed on stains and scrubbed in for better stain removal.

This kit makes enough laundry soap to do anywhere from 64-128 loads roughly (depending on amount you use per load)

SUGGESTED USE:

Shampooing Your Hair with a bar may be new to many of you. It is quite easy. Just get your hair wet and rub the bar on your scalp and hair. Massage it in gently and wash as usual.

Rinse with clean water and towel dry. We suggest you use a towel free from chemical detergents and toxic dryer sheets.

We experienced detoxification in the beginning as we switched from chemical hair treatments to our natural shampoo bars.  For some people the detoxification lasts a week, for others it may happen once or twice every few months when a new layer of embedded chemicals are pulled out of the scalp and hair.  Once your scalp detoxifies, washing your hair is simple, wash and rinse and your hair is squeeky clean.

If your hair builds up with toxic residue from the cleansing of your scalp, we suggest some type of vinegar rinse.  You can use raw organic apple cider vinegar mixed with an equal amount of water to rinse your hair and remove residue.

 We also sell Kombucha Hair Spritzers.  These are made from an aged kombucha vinegar that is cultured in many medicinal herbs that help nourish hair and scalp. The Hair Spritzers help remove the toxic residue and add additional beneficial microbes to your hair.

 If your hair needs conditioning, we recommend using our Rejuvenating Hair Treatment or Resurrection Hair Mask. 

 Rejuvenating Hair Treatment is a probiotic culture made from Jasmine Rice with Bamboo extract and many medicinal herbs high in minerals, silica and nutrients for your hair.  We use this for hair that has become any of the following: dry, frizzy, dull, fragile, split ends, or hair loss.

Tallow soaps have a whole different feel on the skin than pure seed oil soaps. Tallow has a natural organic compatibility with human skin; it works as natural sebum, locking in moisture and nutrients without clogging your pores.

Tallow is high in vitamins A, D, E, K, B12, choline, CLA, and essential fatty acids.  It has a high percentage of oleic acid, a well-known skin conditioner. Oleic acid is a non-essential fatty acid that is found in human sebum. Oleic acid has a wide range of positive effects on the skin, including acting as an emollient and moisturizer. Oleic acid aids skin regeneration and helps reduce inflammation. Fermented rice water has been the secret to beautiful long and healthy hair for village women and imperial princesses in the China, Japan, and Southeast Asia since ancient times.  Women from Huangluo Village, in southern China, have extraordinarily long hair that stays black until they are around 80 years old. Their average hair length is about 6 feet. Part of their secret to having such long hair lies in washing it with fermented rice water.

Fermented rice water is rice water that has slightly soured. It is rich in antioxidants, minerals, vitamin E, and probiotic microbes. Rice extracts have moisturizing properties. You can use rice water for your face, body, and hair.

With our Rejuvenating Hair Treatment, we have added a combination of 15 prebiotic herbs, which increases the nutrient value of the probiotic rice ferment. The herbs we selected are all beneficial for hair, scalp and skin. We found that fermented herbal rice water treatments increased the shine, color spectrum and hair elasticity.  It also decreased surface friction.

In our family we no longer use any commercial hair shampoos, conditioners or detanglers. We only use our probiotic shampoo bars and our ferments as rinses and conditioners. Once we detoxified our hair and scalp from old chemical residue, we didn’t need to wash our hair as often. Our scalp conditions cleared up and our hair strength, shine and luster increased so much that we could see the effects in just weeks, even on hair that had been damaged from bleach, color treatments and perms.

ORGANIC HERBS:

Horsetail, Nettle, Oatstraw, Rosemary, Thyme, Sage, Yarrow, Holy Basil, Lavender, Green Tea, Black Tea, Fo-Ti, Amla Berries, Fenugreek Seeds and Parsley Root. 

DIRECTIONS:

How to Make the Herbal Tea:

Bring ½ gallon filtered water to a near boil. Add Herbs. Let tea sit at room temperature until cool.

How to Make the Rice Culture in the Herbal Tea:

Strain the herbs out. Add the rice to the tea and stir. Cover the jar with a breathable cloth or coffee filter and rubber band. Let sit at room temperature for 2-3 days. Stir every day. NOTE: Cooler temperatures slow fermenting process. We have fermented ours for over a week if needed.

Strain the rice out of the water and discard the rice into a compost. Store the strained tea in the fridge in a jar with a tight lid.

Take out enough fermented rice/herb water mix and put in a small glass jar to keep in the shower for a few days use. Leave the remainder of the ferment in the fridge.

If you want your small jar of rice/tea water to continue to ferment in the shower, cover it with a breathable cloth and rubber band. If you don’t want your rice/tea to continue to ferment, cover it with a tight lid. Additional fermentation increases the probiotic microbial levels in this culture and can facilitate hair improvement. When the herbs are cultured with the microbes in the rice ferment they form prebiotic nutrition that feed both the microbes and your scalp and hair.

Optional: You can add a few drops of essential oil to the ferment you leave in the shower for aroma.

For a Special Honey ferment: After fermenting the rice/tea for 48 hours, mix 1 cup warm water with 1 Tbsp. honey, stir until honey is dissolved, cool and add to tea. Let ferment for another 12-24 hours and then store in the fridge with a tight lid. The honey feeds the probiotic microbes and increases their activity.

How to Use the Herbal/Rice Water Hair Treatment:
Shampoo hair as usual. Pour rice/herb tea over hair and massage into scalp. Make sure to get the ends of your hair thoroughly wet with the tea mixture. You can either wash the tea out, or leave it in, then dry and style as usual. If you experience a slight film on your hair it will easily brush out. After several treatments you should notice your hair getting softer and shinier. This hair treatment can be used as often as needed.
